My name is Mrs. Suarez and I am the Fifth grade Teacher here at MCE. This is my third year working at MCE. I have more than 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught in both public and private schools. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I earned a Spanish certificate from the University of Zaragoza in Spain. I received my Masters from California State University and I am a Reading Specialist. I have been married for 24 years to Gustavo Suarez and we have four wonderful children.
If you want your child to learn about making wise choices and acquire knowledge, then this is the class for your child. My classroom theme is an owl. I have chosen the owl because it is a symbol of knowledge. I want every Fifth grader to have the desire to crave understanding and knowledge. This requires that they make wise choices. The memory verse for this year is found in James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, you should as God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. What an incredible promise this is from His Holy Bible! It is my attempt this year to inspire the Fifth graders to seek for knowledge and understanding, not only in our school books but in His Holy Book. I encourage each student in my class to make wise decisions every day. They will learn that every action taken by them has a consequence. It is my desire to introduce them to God`s Kingdom here on Earth and for them to crave His presence in their daily lives.
